Zero Waste Summer Cooking – Virtual Cooking Class

Join us for a virtual cooking class featuring zero waste tips and recipes for summer!

More people are cooking at home than in pre-pandemic days, and this means more food to creatively use from the fridge and pantry.

Are you looking for some inspiration? Do you find yourself being more grocery budget conscious or sustainability focused due to the changes in our world?

Join our Holistic Nutritional Consultant, Heather Mowat, for a live virtual cooking class as she demonstrates recipes and strategies for reducing food waste in your kitchen at home!

Registration includes:

– 1 hour virtual cooking class delivered via Zoom in the comfort and safety of your own home

– tips & tricks to reduce food waste

– recipes you can make at home that are both adult & kid friendly!

– Q&A following recipe demonstration

Note: For those who are registered, a Zoom link will be shared via email 48 hours prior to the event.

*All proceeds will be donated to a local indigenous charity.

 

About the host: As a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant (CHNC) @livefullynutrition, Heather believes everyone can get more out of life and is passionate about promoting practical strategies to live more fully and well, even in the most challenging of times. On the journey of learning to thrive after meningitis and a subsequent traumatic brain injury, Heather has a special interest in brain and mental health and building resilience for life’s unexpected setbacks.

Heather is the Community Engagement Lead for SPUD.ca and Blush Lane Organic Market in Edmonton, Alberta. She loves to connect people with healthy options, is an enthusiastic wellness educator, and enjoys teaching cooking classes. You can often find her whipping up new recipes, cycling in the river valley, or sipping on a soy americano misto.
