Summer is around the corner (we can only hope) and with it comes an influx of fresh local produce, especially nutrient dense greens. Most manufactured vinaigrettes and dressings contain a long list of unnatural ingredients and preservatives. When you learn the simple technique of making your own, you have the freedom to personalize the flavor by using fresh, quality ingredients. Vinaigrettes are multi-functional and should not be reserved just for salads. Whether you are marinating foods or if you want to add a punch of flavor to steamed vegetables or grains, vinaigrettes are an extremely easy way to expand your culinary repertoire.

Join Jody for an evening  of fun and leaning. Jody will equip guests with practical skills, nutritional and product information that encourage the transition away from processed foods, moving towards clean eating and whole food meals. If you’re making some healthy dietary changes and salads are your thing, you may need inspiration, or want to eat healthier affordably, you will find this class helpful.

Space is limited and registration is necessary. The cost is $10, which will be reimbursed as a $10 Blush Lane coupon.

About the chef, Jody:

Sharing a meal that was made from the heart is one the main reasons why Jody Shenkarek loves to cook. As one of the co-founders of the beloved family restaurant Café Mosaics, Jody ran a kitchen for 12 years before working as a food educator concentrating on plant-based recipes. She considers it a pleasure and a privilege to be able to share her knowledge with others, helping people connect through food as a way of spreading love in these challenging times.
