Mitigating Stress With Mindful & Nutritious Practices

With the new year brings a time of reflection and intention setting for changes we want for our health and wellness in the new year ahead. As we return to our “normal” routine after the holidays, life sets in and stressors begin to come up: guilt over falling out of a fitness or eating routine, dropping a new year’s resolution, the hundreds of unanswered emails, or the daily struggle of balancing work and home life. Sound familar?
You’re not alone in your experience of stress. Registered Psychologist, Sally Powis-Campbell is Blush Lane’s stress expert. She’s here to help you build mindful and nutritious rituals to avoid or manage some of the stressors in your life. This interactive event will include the basics of stress, coping strategies, advice on when to seek help, and sampling of some research-backed adaptogens (foods to aid your body in response to stress), to help mitigate the impact of stress on body and mind. You’ll have the opportunity to try adaptogenic drinks including golden turmeric mylk and reishi mushroom hot chocolate.
You may find it helpful to bring a note pad or journal with you to this event. You will receive a booklet with mindful and nutritious rituals you can implement in your life immediately.
